It was a momentous week for the youngest royals as they joined their parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on a five-day tour of Poland and Germany.
For cheeky George, who turned four last Saturday, at times it all proved too much, with the sleepy future king rubbing his eyes, pouting in boredom and tugging at his dad’s arm to hurry him up during official proceedings.
In contrast, his little sister Charlotte took to her duties like a duck to water. Despite her age, the adorable twoyear-old princess was a true professional as she shook hands with dignitaries, curtsied and accepted a toddler-sized posy – just like mum Kate’s! She also showed off her growing independence, insisting on climbing the steps of the royal jet all by herself.
