Asher Keddie
What’s making her cry?
It was the touching moment that pulled at the heartstrings of complete strangers. Usually poised and polished, Asher Keddie appeared inconsolable walking through Sydney Airport with her handsome husband Vincent Fantauzzo.
Looking strained and upset, the beautiful actress was tenderly reassured and comforted by her man, 40. “Asher looked really upset and like she could burst into tears at any moment,” confirms a photographer, who spotted the 43-year-old.
“But Vincent was there straight away to comfort her and never left her side,” the snapper says.
Her devotion as a mum was the reason behind her emotional state, with a source confirming it was the first time Asher has spent a night away from her son Valentino since he arrived two weeks early on March 1, 2015.
“Asher was in Sydney for two days – and it was the first time she’s ever spent a night away from Vallie (Valentino),” the source says, explaining that Valentino and his stepbrother Luca, seven, were being looked after by relatives in Melbourne.
The actress was in Sydney to promote the new season of the hit Ten series Offspring, and couldn’t help but pine for the two beautiful boys she says have changed her life completely since she met Vincent in 2012.
“I can’t believe how much I love him – it’s indescribable,” Asher gushed after Valentino was born. “I’ll always remember that moment we met him to be one of pure joy.”
Her devotion as a mum was the reason behind her emotional state
Asher, who is far less outgoing than her Offspring character Nina Proudman, even considered quitting the high-rating drama series to spend more time at home with the two boys after Valentino was born. She recently revealed her “priorities” and “sensitivities” have changed since becoming a mum, and refused to rule out having another baby, saying, “I don’tn’t want to shut that door quite te yet.”
Vincent certainlyrtainly wouldn’t complain if thehe woman he calls his “queen” en” wanted to expand their brood – he’s said he wants morere children with Asher so he can paint them – he famouslyy won the People’s Choice award d at the Archibald Prize four yearsars ago with a portrait of Asher.
