Get back into line with ROLFING

Suffering from poor posture and an achy back? You may need a body realignment. Enter, Rolfing...

-

What is Rolfing?

“It’s the manipulation of soft tissue that directly affects the posture and body structure over a 10-week treatment period,” explains Savanna Rose, a massage therapist from Blys Mobile Massage. “Where massage focuses on relaxation and relief of targeted muscle pain, Rolfing’s goal is to improve overall body alignment. This also helps with pain relief.” When the body becomes more aligned, chronic pain is alleviated.

How is it different from other massages?

“Rolfing is an interactive treatment,” says Savanna. “It’s not something you have done to your body, like a massage. You’ll actively be doing stretches or movements while the Rolfer does specific manipulations.”

How many sessions will I need?

“While you can receive a single treatment, Rolfing was designed as a series of 10 sessions that work together and gradually add on to each other to achieve the best results,” explains Savanna.

What’s the pain factor?

“Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, and since each session is aimed at different things, it’s different each time,” says Savanna. “There can be some painful moments since you’re breaking up scar tissue and realigning your body on a very deep level.” For more info visit getblys. com.au or rolfing.org.au
