While some age gracefully, KAK just seems to get better with age – despite a series of setbacks and personalal tragedies, including her husband and soulmateate John’s horror fall in March last year year, which left him a quadriplegic. c. And this month she’s celebrated in n a Fabulous At Every Age special e edition of Harper’s Bazaar,B saying John r remains a “huge source o of inspiration” after the fr freak accident that almost c cost him his life. “If you can embrace ch change in life, you’ll be be better at life, more co content, and you’ll achieve m more in life,” she tells the ma magazine. “I’ve found that inv invaluable, because the one cer certainty in life is change.” K KAK, who was diagnosed wit with breast cancer in 2012, und undergoing surgery and radi radiation treatment, has exp experienced huge personal chan changes in the past year, after fighting for the right to br bring John back to their Sydn Sydney home, where she conti continues to care for him. On top of that, the Gold Logie winner has continued to wo work almost nonstop to pay his mounting medical bills, reporting for Sunday Night on Seven, working for Golf Australia and hosting corporate events around the country.
She says she’s not as fit as she was when she did her widely lauded bikini shoot with Woman’s Day two years ago, but still plays a lot of golf, walks the family dog, Digger, and eats a healthy diet to maintain her enviable figure.
She has also been secretly working on an autobiography, which she promises will reveal all the ups and downs of her almost 50 years in showbiz when it’s released later this year.
