They’ve kept viewers guessing if they’re an item, but Woman’s Day can exclusively reveal Survivor stars Mark and Sam are dating – and it’s serious! So serious that head-over-heels Mark has relocated from WA to Melbourne, where Sam lives – and they’re shopping for an apartment.
“I’ve just taken a job with a non-profit in Melbourne, so I’ll be based there for at least the short term,” says Mark, a former special operations commander.
“Long-distance relationships can be tough at the best of times, so it’s nice to be closer together,” says Sam, 32, an endurance athlete. The couple can’t wait to look for a home “over the next few months, because come summer we’d love to be living together”.
Their time in the Samoan jungle laid the groundwork for their relationship, which blossomed after the show. “I knew we had a good connection and that Sam was someone I could trust,” says Mark, 37, of the early days of their friendship, adding, “Sam’s an amazing lady, so of course I was happy to stay close to her.” SURVIVOR Sundays & Mondays, 7.30pm, Ten
