DIET & EXERCISE

‘I ditched chips + couch time for vegies + cardio’

-

There was a time Siobahn Gordon couldn’t stand the sight of herself in the mirror. “I used to put on a front and pretend everything was great. But, in reality, my confidence was so low and I was miserable,” she says.

As a result of her sedentary lifestyle, a poor diet and an uncontrollable sweet tooth, Siobahn, 27, tipped the scales at 87kg, squeezing into a size 18 dress.

“When I opened a packet of chips or cookies, I would eat the whole thing, then eat again an hour later,” admits the mum-of-one from WA.

She tried desperately to hide her bulging figure, but she was forced to face reality after seeing a photo a friend had posted on Facebook.

“I burst into tears,” she recalls, sadly. “I thought, ‘I can’t keep living like this – I’m slowly killing myself with the food I’m eating.’”

Determined to get her life back on track, Siobahn made some drastic changes. For the first time in years, she woke early, ate a healthy breakfast, went for a walk and dusted off her weights.

She now works out every day, and switched pasta, chips and chocolate for zucchini noodles, fruit and vegies. She’s dropped 37kg and says her life has changed completely.

“I feel absolutely amazing!”
