Sofia wins battle over IVF embryos

Actress Sofia Vergara has won a court case against ex-fiance Nick Loeb over their embryos, which were frozen as part of their IVF treatment in 2013. Desperate to become a dad, Nick wanted to gain custody of the embryos by shipping them to Louisiana – the only state where embryos have legal rights. But a Louisiana Federal judge ruled the embryos are citizens of California, where they were conceived.
