Forced to stand up to trolls for daughter Chloe

-

With Olivia Newton-john last month confirming she’s “feeling great”, it should be a time of rejoicing, but with bullies continuing to torment daughter Chloe Lattanzi over her exotic looks, the 68-year-old superstar, who is currently fighting breast cancer, is preparing for a new battle.

“She hates that people are so unkind to Chloe and cannot understand why they would be so vicious,” one close friend reveals. “She has always been there 100 per cent for Chloe and she always will.”

Chloe regularly attracts trolls online when she posts images of herself, showing off her tiny waist and surgically enhanced breasts.

“Of course, Olivia thinks Chloe is beautiful – she proudly shows these images to friends – and she doesn’t have a problem with Chloe posting those photos,” says the friend. “She just worries about the effect the bullies have on Chloe’s self-confidence, because she’s had a lot of issues in the past.”

And there’s no doubt that the trolls have picked on Chloe, attacking her for wearing revealing clothing, her provocative poses and even her posts about her famous mum and the treatment she is receiving for breast cancer. Chloe has revealed in the past that she’s had a long battle with bulimia and has admitted to drug and alcohol problems. But in a recent interview with Woman’s Day, she said she’d found peace and was finally happy with her appearance. “It’s OK to love yourself,” Chloe, 31, recently shared on Instagram, a platform she left earlier this year after trolling over her “Barbie doll” body became too much to handle. “Olivia just wants to protect Chloe, but she worries that she’s become a target because of her social media posts – and it’s coming at a time when Chloe is finally happy and settled down. All she wants is for Chloe to be happy – and give her a grandchild at some point!”

Reduced to tears, labelled arrogant, rude and cheats, it’s fair to say it has been a hellish few weeks for The Block contestants Ronnie and Georgia.

But it’s only set to get worse for the Perth couple with on-set sources revealing to Woman’s Day that the mounting pressure of the show is leading to cracks in their relationship.

“It’s very high stress on The Block, and even a strong couple like Ronnie and Georgia aren’t immune to the pressure,” confides a source.

“They’re arguing all the time, and things had even got so bad that they’ve had to give each other some space.”

Last week it certainly seemed like Georgia, 33, had enough of Ronnie, 41, with the motherof-three physically pushing her husband away as he tried to console her.

“Stop saying we’re at the top, you sound like a d***head when you say that,” Georgia screamed at him. “That’s why people don’t like us, you sound like an a***hole. Stop saying things like that because it puts pressure on us.”

It’s not the first time they’ve been caught having an explosive row. And they’ve admitted to previous issues in their marriage, revealing they saw a counsellor in the early days of their relationship.

“Raising children in stepfamilies is tricky,” Georgia has previously confessed. “But we were really proactive about counselling.”

Now with the couple branded the show’s villains by fans and their fellow competitors, as well as being abused online, it’s hardly surprising they’re struggling to cope.
