The Obesity Myth

MONDAY, 7.30PM, SBS

-

Almost two-thirds of Aussie adults are classed as overweight or obese, and more often than not we’re told our health problems are down to our lifestyle. But in this fascinating three-part series, the doctors at Austin Health, Melbourne, take a different approach to tackling the problem – by suggesting obesity is down to genes rather than bad choices. The study kicks off with former taxi driver Leanne, boxer Huss and the clinic’s heaviest patient, 246kg Karen, who are on a mission to reclaim their lives with the help of biology.
