After what can only be described as a year from h hell, things are set to get worse for reality TV judge George Calombaris, with Ten considering dumping the celeb chef from the long-running franchise. “Masterchef prides itself on being a feelgood family show,” tells an insider. “There’s no denying George’s negative PR will impact the brand. They’re seriously weighing up their options.” Last week, George, 38, was back in court pleading guilty to assaulting a football fan in May. As if that wasn’t enough, posters showing George’s face were circulating Melbourne’s CBD, asking, “Does this guy owe you money?” and offering advice on how to recoup wages after his restaurants were caught underpaying staff.
