Matty J shock I CHOSE THE WRONG GIRL!

Afterf weeks off turmoil the Bachelor is worried he gave the final rose to the wrong person

-

Staring into one another’s eyes at our dreamy finale photoshoot, Bachelor Matty Johnson looks over the moon – finally able to show off the girl he loves – jewellery designer Laura Byrne. “We’re already planning our first holiday and Christmas together,” he tells Woman’s Day with a smile.

But behind the scenes, sources say the handsome marketing manager has been questioning whether he picked the right girl. With four months to contemplate his decision since the finale was filmed, Matty has had more than enough time to think and it’s left him wondering if second runner-up Tara Pavlovic was actually the real love of his life.

ANOTHER BLAKE MOVE?

Network insiders now fear Matty’s doubts may lead to another Blake Garvey situation – the season two Bachelor dumped Sam Frost for second runner-up Louise Pillidge.

Ahead of last week week’s emotion charged semifinal, fans were left devastated when Matty, 30, sent fan-favourite Tara home

without a rose, despite their season-long connection and obvious chemistry.

The bubbly nanny still feels in the dark about why it ended and believes Matty may have been led astray by producers.

“I think production edited my hometown date to look bad so viewers had a reason to believe why he dumped me,” says Tara.

“Maybe they thought if I were to come runner-up the backlash from the audience may have been bigger so I was sent home earlier,” she adds, after Matty chose not to take her to Thailand for the final rose ceremony, instead opting for Elise Stacy, 30.

ILL-INFORMED CHOICE?

Matty’s also said to be questioning whether he let himself be too heavily influenced by producers. “He can’t help wondering if they helped make Laura look more appealing because everyone thought she was the frontrunner,” tells our source.

Sources say Matty was in hell for days before making his final choice – and he’s learned some truths about Laura since then. “Since Laura’s strategic antics and jewellery peddling came to light, Matty is questioning whether he made the right decision,” spills an insider. “He loves Laura because he thought she was straightforward and down-to-earth.

“Now he’s heard rumours Laura set Tara up by telling Matty she was more interested in Derek the waiter than him, it’s left him questioning if she was tactics-driven after all.”

But even if Matty does want to reconcile with Tara, it seems he may struggle to win her back. The jilted reality star – who confessed she was devastated when it ended – has gone on the defensive since being dumped on TV telling Australia that she “never gave a s**t about Matty”.

While the future for Laura and Matty is uncertain, the pair are adamant – publicly at least – they’re in love. “We just want to do life together,” says Laura.

Matty adds: “Laura has all the qualities that would make an amazing wife and mum.”

Only time will tell if he makes a backflip to the lovable nan nanny who captured ou our hearts.
