Ivor passed away 18 months ago from cancer. I was thrilled to hear about all the people around him, especially our dear friend Bill. I was blown away when Mitchell mentioned the photo of Ivor in a silver frame and November 19 as significant – that’s Ivor’s birthday. He did have a great sense of humour and a mixed accent – he was born in England and lived in NZ, too. It’s also great to know Mum is with her lifelong friend Marj.
