Ben Affleck is taking his romance with new girlfriend Lindsay Shookus to the next level, with sources saying he plans to splash out $16 million on a New York apartment ahead of the birth of their first child together. The three-bedroom apartment, which features panoramic views of Manhattan, is in one of the city’s most exclusive buildings, and the couple will also have access to a private fitness centre.
Ben, 45, is also keen to introduce the 37-year-old Saturday Night Live producer to his three children with Jennifer Garner. But his ex-wife, 45, is having none of it – especially as Ben’s move to New York will see him spend large amounts of time away from Violet, 11, Seraphina, eight, and Samuel, five, who live with their mother in LA.
“Jen’s been incredibly hurt by Ben flaunting his relationship with Lindsay and thrusting her into the spotlight. She thinks it’s insensitive and incredibly unsettling for the kids, who are still getting used to their parents’ split,” an insider tells.
