Woman’s Day (Australia)

13DIRTY SECRETS EXPOSED!

Emergency calls to the police, hate mail, a drugden… and the worst is yet to come!

-

1 Attacked in the streets!

It’s not just on screen that poor Georgia cops it. She says Block fans approach her in the streets – and don’t hold back.

“It’s been pretty insane,” the Perth clothing designer says. “People like to have their two cents’ worth and they say stuff like ‘be nicer to your husband’.”

Georgia has revealed she was scared for her kids’ lives after online abuse. “There’s been some pretty nasty stuff – threats towards our kids as well, which is just not on. Ronnie’s 16-year-old son is on social media. I’m sure it affects him more than anything.”

2 Drugs and murder!

It looks like the next season of The Block won’t be any less drama-filled. A source has confirmed to Woman’s Day that work has already begun on Melbourne’s Gatwick Hotel, which will be the location for the next series. A notorious hotel of horrors, the Gatwick – known as a drug den and a hotbed of violence – has such a fearsome reputation that even homeless people desperate for a place to stay avoid it. Will anyone be brave enough to work in it?

3 It’s rigged!

Jason’s been slammed for dobbing Josh and Elyse in and pocketing $10,000 during kitchen week, but our insider believes it was the producers’ ploy to increase drama. “No one believes that Jason – not Keith and Dan – would have noticed Josh and Elyse’s compliance issues. They’re normally red hot on what’s going on,” reveals our source. “Everyone on set thinks that producers tipped Jason off and promised him he’d get $10,000 if he brought it up because he and Sarah needed a budget boost.”

4 Josh and Elyse on the rocks?!

He told his girlfriend Elyse to “f*** off” on screen and even got warned by Scotty Cam “to be nicer” to her. Now, fans are urging Elyse, 24, to break things off with the hot-headed chippy.

“I know Josh disrespects you on the regular but it’s hard watching him talk to you like that,” wrote one concerned fan. “He acts like a teenager. Girl you are too much of a beautiful

person to deal with someone like him every day, he dampens your spark.”

5 Elyse and Wombat cheating scandal!

With Sticks and Wombat’s first win finally under their belt during the notoriously hard hallway and laundry week, rumours spread that they might have received some extra help – and Georgia’s leading the accusations.

“Looks like Elyse has been giving Wombat a helping hand,” she commented last week.

And Wombat isn’t denying it. “Shopping with Elyse was good,” he commented. “When I went out with her she said to just buy heaps and then just put it together at the last minute.”

6 Police called!

From ipads vanishing to hammers and tools being stolen, security issues have been rife. A neighbour last week claimed to Woman’s Day that police had been called over a mystery incident. At the time of going to press, Victoria police media were unable to shed any light on what happened.

Elyse has even admitted she was afraid of staying overnight in their apartment. “If you were dressed in tradie gear you could walk in. It’s quite brutal. There are so many creeps in this world,” she says.

7 Jason’s death threats!

Karl Stefanovic asked him what it’s like to be “hated” in the wake of last week’s kitchen-gate scandal, but behind the scenes things are much

worse for Jason, who has been threatened on social media.

“Hands down, the worst contestant on The Block EVER! Jason, you suck,” wrote one critic on social media. Another added, “Mate, you’re pathetic and an overgrown child… you actually seem like s**t humans.”

Jason’s wife Sarah says they’re ignoring it. “It’s sad what some people say, but we’re doing our best to not listen.”

8 Fighting at dinners!

Things looked more than a little frosty at last week’s group dinner. But some contestants have revealed that behind the scenes it was even worse.

For Josh, 28, tension with Jason was at an all-time high. “He was literally kissing me on the cheek last week at dinner… but talking s**t behind my back.”

According to Wombat, “Everyone is starting to feel the burn. It doesn’t take much and people are going to show signs of wear and tear.”

9 Georgia and Ronnie’s secret millions!

They had no problem bragging about the number of houses they’ve renovated – 10 to date – but when it comes to discussing how much money they’ve made, Georgia and Ronnie are keeping shtum!

“I’d rather not discuss that,” says Georgia, who point-blank refuses to address whether the pair could be sitting on millions.

10 The Block’s most hated man?!

The battlelines have been drawn but it looks like it’s a close call between Ronnie and Jason as to who is the most hated male contestant on The Block. While Josh has been quick to badmouth Jason, calling him a “b***h”, Ronnie has also admitted he feels isolated.

“They’re just turning against me,” he confessed to foreman Keith last week. “I really don’t know what it is.”

11 Georgia’s stalker revealed!

He’s proven himself to be a committed Blockhead – and Ronnie, 41, clearly applied the same can-do attitude to winning over Georgia.

“I did pursue Georgia,” says Ronnie. “It took me four weeks. If you see something you like, you’ve got to stick at it.”

“I was 21 and you were really persistent,” says Georgia, who is eight years younger than Ronnie.

12 The show almost killed me!

Hannah, 31, has tried to stay out of the drama, but has struggled behind the scenes.

“I didn’t think we’d go for days without sleeping, so that caught us off guard,” she admits.

Seeing her husband Clint, 34, in tears added to her woes. “I’d never seen him cry before The Block. It just goes to show how emotionally hard this show is.”

13 The worst is yet to come…

Think the past few weeks have been stressful? The contestants refuse to reveal what happens in upcoming landscape week. “I can’t speak about it,” Wombat, 38, told Woman’s Day.

Georgia offers a bit more. “The most challenging week was landscape week. You’re at the tail end of it, we were desperately missing our kids and all this drama happens. I struggled to get out of bed because I didn’t want to face the day.”
