JAMIE’S MILLION-DOLLAR COURT BATTLE
He’s spent two decades creating his gardening empire, but for the past three-and-a-half years Jamie Durie has been locked in a bitter legal battle with former business manager Mike Curnow, who sued him for unpaid debts and commissions.
Early this month, the court found in favour of Mike, who was fired by the former Block presenter in 2013. And while damages are yet to be awarded, it could end up costing Jamie more than $800,000. “Because I have a public profile… that guy has made millions out of me over the years,” Jamie told media.
Amid the drama, the stripper-turnedhorticulturist has been seeking solace at a celebrity meditation retreat in Byron Bay. “Each day was spent digging a little deeper into my partially painful past, until all was revealed and resolved,” he told fans.
Unfortunately, it looks as though there’s more drama to come for Jamie, 47, who’s facing another $800,000-plus in legal fees.
