Nicole was the queen of controversy at the Emmy Awards. Not only did her kiss get tongues wagging, but she was also criticised for failing to mention the two children she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise – Isabella, 24, and Connor, 22 – in her acceptance speech. She only dedicated her win to her and Keith’s daughters, Sunday, nine, and Faith, six.
“Bella didn’t watch the Emmys live but read about it all online afterwards, and she was very upset that Nic talked about her Nashville family – but not her and Connor,” an insider explains. “She took it as a big snub.”
Nicole’s relationship with Bella and Connor, who chose to live with their father and remain Scientologists after their parents split in 2000, has long been a source of controversy. While Nicole claims to speak to them often, it has been years since the actress has been photographed publicly with either of her older children.
