MARRIAGE SHOCK DELTA & HUGH TO SAY ‘I DO’

The singer’s dream of becoming a mum could soon be a reality

-

Abesotted Hugh Sheridan couldn’t stop smiling last week as he revealed he and Delta Goodrem are already discussing their wedding, confessing, “I love her so much.”

Now friends are saying behind Hugh’s happy outburst is the news the actor and Delta are secretly planning to have a baby!

Friends say the pair have been discussing the possibility of being parents for a while now, and have even talked about IVF.

While Delta, 32, was initially nervous about bringing up the subject with Hugh, the fact the pair have been practically inseparable over the past few months gave her the courage, and she finally suggested it.

“Delta has been unlucky in love before and is worried it may not happen to her in time to have a baby,” tells our source.

“She’s been exploring all her baby options and she really thinks Hugh would make a great dad – even if it were in an unconventional scenario. She thinks they’d have the most beautiful baby.”

PROPOSAL A REALITY

And with Hugh’s revelation last week on The Morning Show he may propose to Delta, her dream could soon become a reality. While the pair haven’t publicly confirmed their relationship, Hugh admitted he and Delta had “talked about” marriage and kids, and wouldn’t rule out settling down in the future. “Maybe one day we’ll get married. Who knows? You never say never!” he told The Morning Show.

KEEN TO BE PARENTS

Since last year, Delta hasn’t stopped talking about how she wants to become a mum, promising, “I know when I do, I will give it my everything.”

And friends say Hugh, 32, is keen on the idea, too. Delta’s so desperate to make her baby dream come true, she’s even discussed the prospect with her mum Lea, who is totally on board with her daughter.

“Lea loves Hugh and thinks he’s just the best. If Delta wants to go down that route, she’s happy to support her,” adds our source.

Becoming a mum has been at the top of Delta’s agenda for some time. The singer, who was a mentor on The Voice Kids, has previously confessed, “I love kids and I’m definitely looking forward to that chapter in my life, I really am!”

Indeed, as The Voice wrapped earlier this year, the maternal

star revealed her plans to take some time out from showbiz in order to focus on her personal life. And she’s spent some of that time bonding with her 13-month-old nephew Nate.

“[Nate] has stolen my heart,” she gushed recently of the little boy, son of Delta’s brother Trent and his partner Carly.

Hugh, who met Delta on the set of House Husbands last year, is feeling clucky, too.

In October last year, the actor admitted he loves to spend time at home in Adelaide with his young niece and often imagines a similar scenario for himself. “When I’m home, me and my brother Tom put his daughter in the pusher and we walk up and down the streets and look at Victoria Avenue and the houses and say, ‘Maybe one day!’”
