My love for Steve
Sstacey says spendingdi timei with late wildlife warrior Steve Irwin before he became a global sensation and introducing him to her daughters are some of her most cherished memories.
“When we visited Australia Zoo back then, Steve would take us behind the scenes and the girls would get up close to the animals, which was very special,” she says.
“Steve and I did a number of appearances together over theh years, too, and it’s so wonderful to see his family carry on his legacy today.
“I used to go to Australia Zoo when it was known as Beerwah Reptile Park and it was just a very small family-run operation with reptiles, mostly crocs and snakes. Steve always had a vision to make it huge and he did it!”
