It’s bikini babes at dawn as Sam and Pia lock horns over hot new TV hunk Jake

When former Bachelorette Sam Frost found out she’d landed a role on iconic Aussie soap Home And Away earlier this year, it caused quite a controversy. It was rumoured the other actors were angry a reality star was going to join their stellar cast.

But it looks like the simmering tension on set has reached new heights over recent weeks, with Pia Miller’s nose reportedly out of joint as Sam, 28, struck up a close bond with her hunky on-screen love interest Jake Ryan.

“Sam and Jake have grown really close over the past few months,” reveals a show insider, adding they’re both new to the show so they’ve got something in common.

“Jake has been giving Sam advice on how to deal with the negativity, which comes with starring on such a huge show. They often catch up off screen and really make each other laugh.”

Indeed, last month Jake posted a cosy photo of the pair alongside a heartwarming message on social media.

“Welcome to the bay #giggles @fro01 you are f********ing hilarious!! For all those FWIT trolls and critics have a crack at her, you will be blown away. This kid is working her a*** off and bringing it BIG TIME!”

But just a few months earlier, Jake, 34 – who plays bad boy Robbo on the Seven show – had his sights set on Pia.

SAM STEALS THE SHOW

Woman’s Day revealed back then he was “red hot” for the stunning brunette, who is dating Tyson Mullane. According to our insider, Jake would stop at nothing and repeatedly bombarded her with texts.

“Jake has a reputation for falling for his leading ladies, so we all thought it was only a matter of time until he and Pia were an item,” the source added.

“Of course Jake knew Pia was in a serious relationship with Tyson, but they kept flirting and she loved the attention.”

To make matters worse, before Sam’s arrival Pia was considered the hottest girl on set. Now insiders say Sam is stealing the attention from her and it’s not going down well.

It’s clear Jake has decided to cool things off with Pia, which coincidentally happened to be at the same time as Sam’s arrival in Summer Bay. Proving they’re getting closer, Sam and Jake have been spending more and more time together, both on and off set. The pair even celebrated Jake’s birthday last month – despite Sam recently insisting she was happily loved-up with boyfriend Dave Bashford. In one picture, the blonde can be seen affectionately putting her arm around Jake as he describes her as one of his “fave humans”. Days later, he cheekily expressed his approval of one of Sam’s modelling photos by writing, “#BOSS”. We can’t help but wonder what Dave must be thinking!
