‘I GRIEVED FOR THE BAND FOR YEARS’

Ex-wiggle Murray Cook tells

“We were on the road for 10 months of the year and doingg between 300 and 400 shows,” says former Red Wiggle Murray Cook.ok. “It was an amazing adventure, but after 20 years it was time to move on.” Retiring from The Wiggles meant dad-of-two Murray, 57 – who’s just released an album with The Soul Movers – could returnurn to making more of the music he loves. “Before The Wiggless I was playing in rock bands, so it feels like it’s come full circle.”e.” And while he missed the camaraderi­e of The Wiggles, he’s found happiness being closer to home. “Even though it was my y choice to leave, I was grieving for a couple of years, but doing The Soul Movers gives me a similar sort of feeling to The Wiggles.”
