Rose stands up for women everywhere
In a brave move, actress Rose Mcgowan allowed herself to be named as one of the eight women Harvey has paid off over the past three decades. She was allegedly given $100,000 by the movie heavyweight in a confidential settlement.
After she was named in the media last week, she took to Twitter to call on other stars to speak out, saying, “Women fight on. And to the men out there, stand up. We need you as allies.”
In the days after the scandal first broke, Rose, 45, also shared a picture of herself as a young woman at the start of her career in an attempt to get other females in the industry to share their horror stories. “This is the girl that was hurt by a monster,” she wrote. “This is who you are shaming with your silence.”
