A group of women who dated the reality TV star have banded together to expose his playboy ways
He came to fame after dropping 50kg on reality show The Biggest Loser, but now, fitness-lover Adro Sarnelli is gaining another kind of infamy – as a two-timer playboy who leaves heartbroken women in his wake. Determined to expose his true colours, a group of his exes have joined forces to tell their stories and reveal their heartache once and for all.
BELINDA: TWO-TIMED WITH CARLA
“Adro and I started chatting on social media,” says Belinda. “He became quite infatuated with me because I was a nationally recognised INBA female figure champion and he was starting to get into bodybuilding,” she says.
“He went out of his way to charm me and make me fall for him – messaging me all day, and sending me flowers.”
Like others he’s dated, Belinda, 42, has blonde hair and blue eyes. “Carla, his ex-wife Sam and Jannah, who he has a son with – we all look alike,” she says.
Once Adro decided he wanted Belinda he did whatever he had to do to get her. Then, out of nowhere, the contact stopped.
“I found out he’d started seeing another blonde bodybuilder, who lived in Brisbane,” she says. “I was shattered and crushed. He’s very deserving of the Biggest Loser title, in more ways than one.”
CARLA: TWO-TIMED WITH AMANDA
Carla experienced two years of “heartache and turmoil” when she dated Adro. “I was accused of being unsupportive, selfrighteous, not understanding and made to question my own reasoning,” says Carla, who met the reality star on Facebook.
The flight attendant found out Adro had two-timed on her with his sister-in-law Amanda in October 2016, after he reconnected with his brother Mikele (Mac) and his wife. “Adro and Amanda were leaving likes and comments all over each other’s social media accounts,” tells the mum-of-two.
“He told me Mac was very uncomfortable with his rekindled friendship with Amanda, but he disregarded those feelings – something he’s very good at.”
When a friend of Amanda’s contacted Carla to say Adro and Amanda had slept together, she knew it was over. “I felt for Mac. He must have been devastated.
“I came out of the relationship not in a great way,” Carla has said previously, although she declines to comment this time.
AMBER: THREE-TIMED WITH AMANDA & TAHNEE
Gold Coast Titans cheerleader Amber fell for Adro after meeting him on Australia Day this year. “He was charming and attentive and made you feel like the only girl in the world,” says Amber.
But before long, alarm bells started to ring and Amber became suspicious of photos of Adro with his brother’s wife, Amanda. “When I confronted him, he denied it and passed her off as just his sister-in-law. I had no reason to doubt him.”
But when Woman’s Day revealed in an article Adro had run off with his brother’s wife, Amber confronted him again.
“He said he’d hooked up with Amanda a few times, but it wasn’t serious. And yes, she’d left her husband,” tells Amber.
The pair would always meet up at Amber’s house because his housemate, who she later found out was Amanda, had a child.
“I met up with him early in the morning before he went to work. Now I know it’s because Amanda had moved in and it was the only time he could sneak in to visit me,” tells Amber, who says Adro insisted she wear nothing but her pompoms during their time together.
Shortly after, Adro stopped all contact with her and began posting photos with Amanda on social media. “I was naive and stupid,” says Amber, who also worked out he had been seeing her friend Tahnee as well. “He told me that he loved hanging out with me but he wasn’t in a place for an exclusive relationship!”
TAHNEE: THREE-TIMED WITH AMANDA & AMBER
Gold Coast Titans cheerleader Tahnee couldn’t believe it when she discovered Adro was in a relationship with her close friend and fellow cheerleader Amber – and his brother’s wife Amanda!
“I met Adro at the start of the year through mutual friends. It wasn’t long before we started texting, but he insisted we keep our relationship private because of how well-known he is,” says the professional dancer.
“He made me promise not to tell our mutual friends. He didn’t want things to get weird or people to judge us because of the age difference. I’m in my early 20s and he’s nearing 40.”
At the time, Tahnee didn’t think anything of his request, but looking back she says she feels stupid. “I fell really hard for him. When I told him I wanted us to go out as a couple, he became distant and told me he wasn’t ready for anything serious.”
Not long after, Tahnee opened up to her friend Amber, who’d been through a similar situation.
“Amber found out that Adro was seeing another girl from the gym at the same time as he was seeing her and me. She told me he was hooking up with his sisterin-law Amanda and had been since last year,” says Tahnee.
“I haven’t seen or spoken to Adro again. I felt so used.”
