MAKES ABOUT 1/ CUP 3 55g brown sugar 2 tsp paprika 1 tsp salt 1 tsp mustard powder 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp chilli flakes 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp garlic powder 1 Combine ingredient­s.

TIP The barbecue rub can be stored in an airtight container for up to six months.

VARIATION For a more hot and spicy rub, add a few extra tsp of pepper and mustard.
