Julia Roberts Happy at 50
On the eve of her 50th birthday, the Hollywood star is happier and more in love with her husband than ever
Barefoot, sun-kissed and looking even more beautiful than ever, Julia Roberts couldn’t stop smiling as she walked hand-inhand with her husband Danny Moder while holidaying last month. And it’s little wonder that Julia – who turns 50 this week – looked so relaxed and content.
Sources close to the Pretty Woman star say her marriage to cameraman Danny, 48, is finally back on track, after years of turmoil and even speculation about a divorce earlier this year.
Opening up in a recent interview, Julia admitted she hasn’t always been the easiest of people to be married to.
“I was my priority, a selfish little brat running around making films,” she says of the early stages of her career.
But it’s thanks to her husband of 15 years – as well as her role as a mum to three beautiful children – that she’s evolved into the person she is today.
“It was meeting Danny… finding my person,” Julia says.
“When I think about what makes my life my life, and makes sense and just shine inside of me, it’s him. Everything has come from that for me,” adds the doting mum of twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 12, and 10-yearold Henry.
In fact, Julia says she is so dedicated to her family and to making her marriage work that she’s purposefully put her career on the backburner.
“I just wait to see what comes along, as opposed to looking for it. It makes it fun and organic,” she says of her outlook on taking new roles and her new priorities.
As for her upcoming 50th birthday, Julia couldn’t be happier with her stage in life.
“There are great things I’ve accomplished and I’d be happy to accomplish more, of course, to impress my children and my husband,” she adds. “But you know what? I’ve been spoilt already.”
