FRIENDS WORRY ABOUT JAMES’ WELLBEING
James Packer prompted concern when he joined friends aboard a luxury yacht in Mexico last week. The high-profile businessman, who was snapped sunbaking shirtless, looks to have gained a substantial amount of weight since he split from Mariah Carey a year ago.
Now, just weeks after his 50th birthday, he’s a far cry from the happy figure we saw last year.
James lost 35kg in 2011 after lap band surgery and overhauling his lifestyle.
In September 2015, after he and Mariah, 47, first stepped out together, he showed off a trim figure. Then after he proposed in January 2016, the father-of-three and his fiancee both lost weight, amid speculation they were on a health kick and may have even had surgical help.
Concern for his wellbeing comes days after James spoke for the first time about his high-profile split from Mariah, admitting he was at a low point in his life and it was a “mistake” for them both.
