For nearly 150 years, Strangeways has housed some of England’s most dangerous criminals, including one-eyed copkiller Dale Cregan and “Doctor Death” Harold Shipman, Britain’s most prolific serial killer.

It’s one of the most notorious highsecurity male prisons in the UK.
