HOW MY BABY BROTHER SAVED ME

-

Jelena credits Savo, 26, with inspiring her to keep fighting despite plummeting to the depths of despair during her abusive childhood.

“It’s impossible to express how important it is for me to be there for my brother,” she says in Unbreakable. She felt terrible at leaving him behind when she fled in 2002. “I believe I didn’t commit suicide because of my great love for him and my need to protect him. Savo has brought me constant joy. I have loved having him back in my life.”

The other man she credits with helping save her is her long-term boyfriend Tin Bikic, who has been at her side since 2004. “Over the years we have been together I have been overweight, depressed, bankrupt and on the verge of ending my life. He accepts me for who I am. He’s my best friend and the love of my life.”

?? ?? It’s “the family relationship I most treasure,” Jelena says of her brother.
