John Mayer and Katy Perry dated on and off for two years, before splitting in 2014 amid rumours John was running hot and cold. But it seems there are still some warm feelings there – at least as far as 40-year-old John is concerned!
The singer has admitted he watched all 96 hours of Katy’s four-day Youtube video in June, which filmed her doing everything from yoga to breaking down in therapy. “Yeah, I checked in with it,” he says. “It’s definitely odd to watch your ex-girlfriend sleep.”
Not only that, he was the first to text his ex on her 33rd birthday in October! “It was four in the morning. It was like a post-midnight, haven’tgone-to-sleep-yet, it’s-technicallyyour-birthday send. Because how weird is it to be like, ‘I want to say happy birthday now, but I’m going to wait until tomorrow afternoon?’”
