Sandra Sully’s twin sister revealed! ‘It’s spooky!’

Whilhile viewersi hhave become accustomed to seeing Sandra Sully’s face on television, little is known about her twin Lyn Salter.

The newsreader reveals she and Lyn – a software trainer in Queensland – were close growing up, and their bond has been unbreakable ever since.

“I feel really lucky being a twin. You come into this world with someone, and you go through all the significant milestones together,” says Sandra. “I never walked into a playground or party on my own. And now she’s the first person I call if I have a problem.”

And while the 54-year-olds are non-identical, they share many of the same mannerisms.

“It’s spooky. Sometimes when I’m watching her I know what a certain movement or expression feels like. If we’re in a social setting, we can tell how the other one is feeling,” says Sandra.

Bbut theh Tten star admitsd there’sh’ a downside, too. “As a child, people don’t hesitate to compare you to your twin while you’re standing there – whether it’s a case of who is the ‘sportier’, ‘more intelligent’ or ‘funnier’ twin. It almost forces you down a path before you’ve even formed your own identity... I’d urge any parents with twins to be sensitive. You wouldn’t do it to other siblings.”
