Matchbox advent calendar

You’ll need F Three paint colours F Medium brush F Gold spray paint F Wide red ribbon F Boxes of various sizes F Glue F Scissors Cardboard

Paint boxes. Always keep the brushstrokes in the same direction. Leave to dry.

Make a stencil out of cardboard. Make sure cardboard is wider than your boxes. Draw numbers and cut them out. Place on centre of the box. Paint the numbers on the box using the gold spray. Leave to dry before removing template. Another way to place numbers on boxes is to draw them on the cardboard. Cut them out carefully and use a droplet of glue on the back of each number. Place in the centre of each box. Leave to dry.

Arrange boxes along three strands of ribbon and glue them in place. Once the glue is dried, place sweets inside boxes. The glue will be strong enough to hold all of the sweets while hanging from the wall.
