Daryl reveals: ONJ was my school sweetheart
If itt had lasted,lasted Daryl Braithwaite and Olivia Newton-john’s pre-teen relationship could have made them the most powerful couple in Australian music. During an interview on The Morning Show, the Horses singer bashfully revealed his brief fling with Olivia when they both attended Melbourne’s Christ Church Grammar Schooschool. “She was one of the prettiest girls in class. We were only 11 or 12 I think,” he says.
But sadly for Daryl, their love story didn’t last long. “We were talking and we held hands, and then it was over,” he reveals.
But with the pair reuniting to perform regularly, they’re still firm friends.
