He won hearts after rocketing to fame as Kevin Mccallister in the Home Alone movies. But while former child star Macaulay Culkin seemed set for superstardom, a series of film flops, disastrous relationships – including a short-lived marriage at 17 – and an arrest for drug offences followed. The 37-year-old lived effectively as a hermit since 2004.
But now Macaulay is back on track – and it’s all thanks to his new actress girlfriend, Brenda Song, 29. The pair met on the set of movie Changeland in June this year.
“It was love at first sight,” a source tells Woman’s Day. “She’s brought the old Mac back to life – he’s so much more fun and willing to get out more. Before Brenda, he was so obsessed with avoiding fame he never left his house – but with her, he doesn’t care. He’s head-over-heels for her and treats her like a princess.”
“They basically live together – they divide their time between her place in LA and his New York and Paris apartments. They’re super-happy – he can’t believe a girl as cool as Brenda fell into his life.”
