He stunned viewers when he announced he was quitting Weekend Sunrise after 12 years. But now insiders are saying 46-yearold Andrew O’keefe’s exit was part of a Seven shake-up. “He got the biggest surprise of all – he didn’t see it coming,” says one of his colleagues. “He knew there were changes happening at Seven, but he like everyone thought [David] Kochie was being nudged to make way for Basil [Zempilas]. Instead, Basil is coming in to replace Andrew.” Our source says there have been murmurs of discontent from the star’s team, who all loved him. Now they’re worried they could be next. “The new package is not nearly what it was. Mon [Wright] is shattered as is sports presenter Simon [Reeve].”
