Jen’s divorce curse STRIKES AGAIN
With her marriage to Justin on the rocks, friends fear it could be a sad case of deja vu for the star
She hasn’t been seen with her husband Justin Theroux for more than two months, and now friends are worried it could be a case of history repeating itself for Jennifer Aniston, who famously split from her first husband Brad Pitt just weeks after Christmas in 2005.
Friends fear it’s likely that if Jen, 48, and Justin, 46, do call time on their marriage, they’d announce it over the holiday period in an attempt to fly under the radar.
Jen and Brad famously announced their separation on January 7, 2005, despite enjoying a getaway together just days earlier.
And they’re not the only high-profile couple to do so. Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, and Heidi Klum and Seal all called it quits or filed for divorce close to Thanksgiving, Christmas or the New Year.
“Jen and Justin are both really private, and would definitely be the kind of people who would want to keep a low profile about this sort of thing,” explains an insider.
“It wouldn’t be much of a surprise to anyone if they announced their split in the new year. It’s a shame, because they clearly care about each other, but they’ve been leading separate lives for months.”
Another insider confides to Woman’s Day, “It seems pretty clear that their marriage is on the rocks and there’s a lot of talk from Jen’s inner circle that they’re well on their way to a split.
“Another divorce would obviously be difficult for Jen, but she’s tougher than most people realise. It’s been a quiet year as far as her career is concerned, but she’s got a lot to look forward to and is really excited about making her return n to TV. She’s bounced back before e and she can do it again.”
