Tip1 RETHINK A ‘BIG NIGHT’

Tip2 START SLOWLY

For your first drink, order something that feels festive but is low or no alcohol, like a schooner of light beer, a shandy or a Pimms and lemonade. By the second round you’ll be ahead of the curve.

Tip3 EAT A HEALTHY MEAL

Before you booze, eat some protein and carbs to slow that alcohol absorption. Sweet potatoes are low GI, and lean chicken will stabilise blood sugar.
