Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce turned heads with their obvious chemistry as they walked the red carpet at the Swinging Safari premiere in Sydney recently.

The long-time friends, who’ve often sparked romance rumours, have remained close since starring in Neighbours together during the 1980s. Now, 30 years on, the pair play a married couple looking to inject some fun into their lives in the new Aussie comedy film set in the ’70s.

“They didn’t leave each other’s side, and at one point shared a close hug,” reveals a red-carpet onlooker.

While Kylie, 49, has been single since dumping her fiance, 30-year-old British actor Joshua Sasse, in February after suspicions he cheated on her, 50-year-old Guy is with Game Of Thrones actress Carice van Houten, 41, the mother of his 16-month-old son Monte.

So as much as fans would like to see the iconic soapie couple – whose new film is set to air in January – getting together, we wouldn’t hold our breath!
