It seems 2017 has been a tough year for the Beckhams. While Victoria has been hard at work, continuing to build her fashion empire, David has been living it up, especially since he doesn’t have a strict football schedule to follow anymore.
And with Becks’ frequent boys’ trips away, partying with other women and more, friends say Victoria, 43, has finally snapped at what she feels are David’s immature ways, giving him an ultimatum to change his tune – or risk losing it all!
The former football star, 42, has been driving his wife up the wall with his midlife crisis antics. He’s been posing constantly with his motorbike, raiding his 18-year-old son’s wardrobe and adding to his extensive tattoo collection. Now Victoria has warned her husband, “Grow up or get out!”
“She’s told David he needs to stop with this childish behaviour or she might kick him out of the house,” an insider tells Woman’s Day. “Victoria is a very tolerant woman, but there’s only so much she can take. David is dressing like he’s a teenager and acting like one too. She’s had enough.”
OUT ON THE TOWN
David – who shares Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 12, and six-year-old Harper with Victoria – has been hitting the town with models, including Lady Mary Charteris and Poppy Delevingne in recent months, which has put strain on the 18-year marriage.
But insiders say Posh is even more furious about the fact he’s constantly partying with teenager Brooklyn and his group of friends!
“She’s frustrated he’s starting rumours by hanging out with younger women, but the thing that annoys her most is the way he’s been going out with Brooklyn as if he was one of his best mates,” explains the insider.
“David gets to be fun dad and never says no to the kids, so she ends up having to be the bad guy. She’s told him he needs to start
taking some of the weight in that area, because it’s not fair on her.
“The boys all look up to David so much and it’s important he’s a good role model and doesn’t just act like part of the gang.
“Victoria is worried this has all the makings of a real midlife crisis and she’s trying to stop it before it ends in disaster.”
David retired from professional football after a 21-year career in 2013, but Victoria remains one of the top fashion designers in the world, with a brand that was recently valued at $175 million.
Sources say Posh feels left out because David’s enjoying the perks of being a stay-at-home dad, meanwhile she’s busier than ever with her work.
PARENTING BIAS
“Victoria feels like she’s the one constantly picking up the pieces and saving the day when her kids need her, while David has all the fun and does none of the parenting grunt work,” another friend explains. “With four kids it’s difficult for Victoria, especially when she’s constantly working, too.”
Rumours have long circulated the pair only stay together for the sake of Brand Beckham – their combined personal wealth recently overtook the Queen’s! David has denied that’s the case, saying, “Of course not!” But insiders say he’ll need to change his tune if he wants to keep his wife by his side.
“They’ve been through a lot and Victoria has stayed loyal to David, but she knows dishing out the tough love is the best way to get him to change his ways,” says our source.
“The reality is she needs someone who will be her partner in life and parenting, instead of someone who’s obsessed with being ‘down with the kids’. She obviously loves David and thinks he’s a great dad, but he needs to start being more mature – for everyone’s sake.
“Victoria told David she has enough kids and doesn’t need him acting like her fifth child. She’s just hoping he listens to her pleas to grow up and starts acting his age – or it could be the end for them.”
