PLAN BEFORE YOU SHOP

“Plan each meal so you don’t buy unnecessary items and check what you already have at home and construct a list to save time and money,” says catering website Order-in’s Jonathan Rowley.

USE OLD STOCK FIRST

“By moving older products to the front of your fridge or pantry and moving the newer ones to the back, you’ll be more likely to use everything up before it all expires,” adds Jonathan.

MAXIMISE EVERYTHING

“Several foods will have more than one use,’ Jonathan explains. “Wilted vegetables, bones and meat scraps can be used to make stocks. Overripe fruit will also make tasty smoothies.”
