SKINNY MODEL LANDS POSH IN HOT WATER

-

Unveiling her new eyewear range on Facebook last week, Victoria Beckham expected praise for her ’70s-inspired designs.

Instead, the 43-year-old was deluged with horrified comments about her “sickly skinny” model Giedre Dukauskaite, 29.

“[I] didn’t even notice the glasses,” wrote one critic. “The model was the focus. Sickly skinny! Beckham should be ashamed [of] promoting eating disorders. Her young daughter [Harper, six] is heavier than her models. Shame.”

In 2010, Posh committed to the Beauty is Health campaign, signalling she would only use models of healthy weight. Critics s accuse Victoria of going back on her promise. “There will be lots of f girls and boys looking at this and sadly seeing skinny = successful,” was one Facebook comment.

In 2015, Victoria was accused of casting dangerously thin girls in her fashion show. “We know that all our girls are healthy,” said Victoria. “They’re young, they’re thin, but that doesn’t mean they’re ill.’’

It’s not her only worry. Victoria’s fashion business reportedly lost $14.5 million in 2016. And rumours continue that her marriage to David Beckham, 42, is all but over, with the pair living in separate wings in their new home.
