Jeanne Little

My thoughts are with Jeanne Little’s family ( WD, December 18). I remember seeing Jeanne in the musical Jerry’s Girls. She was amazing. Jeanne’s daughter Katie is right to think of her mother’s wishes at this worst stage of Alzheimer’s.

My father died of Alzheimer’s eight months after he needed to go into a nursing home. At one time his heart stopped and a doctor went against his written wishes and revived him. Though I value my time with my dad, this was not the way he wanted to die. It was those last stages I wish could have been avoided.
