CROCODILE DUNDEE HOAX REVEALED!

-

Crocodile Dundee fans were overjoyed when news broke last week there was to be a fourth instalment of the iconic series.

Dundee: The Son Of A Legend Returns Home looked like a reality when a clip showing US comedian Danny Mcbride, 41, making his debut as Brian Dundee, son of Mick (Paul Hogan), was released on Youtube.

To add to the excitement, Chris Hemsworth, 34, appeared in another clip as the son of Walter Reilly (who was played by the late John Meillon).

But sadly, it seems the film is not to be – and the hoax is believed to be part of an elaborate campaign for the NFL Super Bowl on February 4 – the biggest sporting event in the US – where advertisers pay a whopping $6 million for a 30-second spot.

The “film” is directed by ad exec Steve Rogers and there are no details on any trusted movie sites about a plot or release date. But with Chris an ambassador for Tourism Australia, it’s more likely we’ll see something to rival Hoges’ “Shrimp on the Barbie” ad, which first encouraged Americans to travel Down Under in the ’80s.
