Living in LA for the past five years has finally paid off for Lucy Fry, who appears in new Netflix fantasy movie Bright alongside Hollywood royalty Will Smith and homegrown star Joel Edgerton. But being blonde and Australian has inevitably drawn comparisons to fellow Queenslander Margot Robbie – not that Lucy’s fussed. “I’m honoured people compare us, as I’m such a huge fan. She’s brilliant. We’ve never met, but I really look up to her,” she tells Woman’s Day. As for working alongside Will, Lucy, 25 – who plays Tikka, a young Inferni elf in the flick – reveals the actor has been super supportive as she navigates her new-found fame. “We were on the panel at Comic-con in San Diego last year and I was so nervous. Will came up to me and said he still wets his pants before these things, too, so now he just wears diapers! He made me feel so much better,” she laughs.
