Harry’s wedding gift to Meghan
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited Cardiff recently, the 33-year-old royal had a special surprise for his fiancee – he was taking her to meet his beloved former nanny Tiggy LeggeBourke!
Harry couldn’t wait to surprise Meghan, 36, with his secret plan once their public engagements came to an end. And she was equally thrilled to be whisked off to meet Tiggy, 52, who lives 48km away on the Glanusk Estate owned by her family.
The significance of the introduction certainly wasn’t lost on the former Suits actress. Tiggy was with 12-year-old Harry on the day he found out his mother Princess Diana had died.
And in the following years, Tiggy was the one Harry and his brother William turned to as they grieved.
“Harry couldn’t wait to introduce Meghan to Tiggy,” says a royal insider of the special moment.
“She’s a very significant person in Harry’s life – almost like a mother figure. Even though the two women are very different, they got along famously.”
