TAP YOUR WORRIES AWAY!
TV Editor Zara Zubeidi (inset) discovers a new way to combat stress and anxiety…
WHAT? EFT (emotional freedom techniques) therapy is based on the ancient Chinese treatment of acupuncture – sans needles!
HOW? HO I was asked to slowly tap between my eyebrows, temple, underneath the eye, collarbone and wrist in a repeated sequence while addressing my specific problem out loud. As I moved to the next pressure point, I’d release and let go of that particular worry I had.
WHO? EFT can be used to treat anxiety, anger, sleep problems and binge eating to name a few. After just one session I felt more self-aware and calm, and less anxious.
WHERE? I visited EFT therapist Katherine Ferris at the Sydney Wellbeing Centre
HOW MUCH? About $210 per hour.
