The JERF (Just Eat Real Food) diet
WHAT IS IT?
While we all might have our own ideas of what constitutes “real food”, Healthy Life nutritionist Cayte Moxom claims it officially refers to “the food your grandparents or great grandparents would have eaten like butter instead of margarine, and olive oil instead of vegetable seed oils”.
Ask yourself: does it come from a farm or a factory? “It's food that's as close to its natural state as possible. A JERF diet should include lots of fruit and vegetables, pastureraised meat, wild-caught fish, legumes, pulses, nuts and water. Not soft drinks,” Cayte says.
THE BENEFITS
You get to eat delicious, wholesome food that's free from any processed nasties, which your body will love you for. Of course, everything in moderation.
