Designed by UK nutritioni­st Angela Dowden, this eating plan – reportedly followed by Jennifer Aniston – encourages us to ditch the traditiona­l three meals a day philosophy for five smaller portions jam-packed with fruit and veg.

“The science behind the 5:5:5 is very simple – it’s about eating more healthy fruit and veg, particular­ly high-fibre, low-cal greens, that fill you up and help keep you trim,” Angela says. “It’s also about having regularly spaced meals and snacks every day to keep hunger at bay."
