V ix the feisty feline caused complete chaos when she recently went wandering through the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.

After initially spotting her in a northbound lane on January 17, maintenance staff spent another two days trying to pin Vix down.

able to track down the moggy’s owner, Alice Leung, who is still bewildered as to how Vix made it to the tunnel from her home in Homebush – almost 20km away.

The adventurous kitty had even clambered over Alice’s cat-proof rollers on the fence.

“I posted photos of her on lost and found groups,” says the 34-year-old, who admits she feared the worst after Vix went missing. “I thought maybe she was hit by a car and someone had left her.”

Alice says her beloved pet is now “feline” fine but has been “permanently grounded”.
