V ix the feisty fe­line caused com­plete chaos when she re­cently went wan­der­ing through the Syd­ney Har­bour Tun­nel.

Af­ter ini­tially spot­ting her in a north­bound lane on Jan­uary 17, main­te­nance staff spent an­other two days try­ing to pin Vix down.

For­tu­nately, a kind-hearted main­te­nance worker was then

able to track down the moggy’s owner, Alice Le­ung, who is still be­wil­dered as to how Vix made it to the tun­nel from her home in Home­bush – al­most 20km away.

The ad­ven­tur­ous kitty had even clam­bered over Alice’s cat-proof rollers on the fence.

“I posted pho­tos of her on lost and found groups,” says the 34-year-old, who ad­mits she feared the worst af­ter Vix went miss­ing. “I thought maybe she was hit by a car and some­one had left her.”

Alice says her beloved pet is now “fe­line” fine but has been “per­ma­nently grounded”.
