SAM & NAT’S WAR ON EDDIE
When Edwina Bartholomew headed to the Grammys red carpet, what should have been a fun night for the entertainment reporter turned into the evening from hell. During a live cross with her Sunrise colleagues Sam Armytage and Natalie Barr, viewers were shocked to see the two women turn on a flustered Eddie, 34, mercilessly mocking her for failing to land any A-list interviews. “Sam and Nat have been ganging up on her for months, poking fun at everything from her outfits to her interviewing skills,” an insider tells. “It’s subtle but everyone on set has started to pick up on it, and it’s undermining Eddie’s confidence. Everyone knows she’s upset and hurt, but they don’t know what to do about it.”
While it’s long been reported there’s tension between 41-yearold Sam and Eddie, it was thought Nat, 49, remained neutral. But that has now changed. “Sam has always had it in for Eddie, and Nat figured out it’s easier to side with her because she has more power at Seven,” says our spy.
