FEARS FOR ‘WASTED’ SIMON
New photos h of f Britain’s ’ Got Talent l judge d Simon Cowell stumbling out of a London restaurant at 1.30am last weekend have prompted fears his drinking habit is spiralling out of control.
“Simon was legless, stumbling all over the place and hanging off of his dining companions,” says an eyewitness, who saw the 58-year-old leaving Mayfair with his fellow judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.
“It was like he’d forgotten how to walk down steps. But he still managed to light up a cigarette!
“There was no mistaking the drunken, glazed look on his face.”
The photos come a year after Simon was filmed stumbling down steps during recording of Britain’s Got Talent, where he fell into an audience member’s lap. At the time, he was an hour and a half late and was widely reported to have been drunk.
“When your drinking starts affecting your work like that, you know there’s a problem,” reveals a close friend. “Simon’s not a young man anymore. It’s time he started taking better care of himself.”
