MICHAEL BUBLE’S BABY JOY!
There’s sunshine after the storm for the singer and his family
They’ve been through an unbelievably tough time watching their four-year-old son Noah battle cancer, but Michael Buble and his wife Luisana Lopilato have found happiness after the heartache – with news they’re expecting their third child!
“This is a time of great celebration for Michael and Luisana,” an insider tells Woman’s Day. “They’re all about family, and making sure little Noah gets better has been their top priority.
“They both wanted another child but they didn’t even think about trying again until they knew Noah was better. Now they feel truly blessed to be having another baby.”
Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer in November 2016 after suffering a high fever. An ultrasound revealed the then three-year-old had a tumour.
A few months later, 42-yearold Michael said his son was responding well to the months of chemotherapy he’d undergone, and by mid last year, Luisana, 30, had confirmed “the worst is over” for their precious boy.
“It was such a relief to see Noah make it through his illness, and they’re grateful for all the love and support they’ve received over the past year,” the insider says. “They’ve been through an extremely hard time as a family, but they’re so inspired by their little boy’s strength.”
The couple – who also have a two-year-old son, Elias – both put their careers on hold to be by Noah’s side during his illness. Model and actress Luisana is now back in front of the camera, while Canadian M Michael will host the Juno music awards in his hometown of Vancouver in March, before performing gigs in the northern summer.
But as things start to get back to normal and they prepare to expand their brood, sources say the crooner plans to keep his workload light so he can continue putting his family first.
“Noah’s sickness has definitely put everything into perspective, and Michael values his wife and kids above everything else,” says the insider. “Michael and Luisana are closer than ever and this is already shaping up to be a very special year.”
